The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the NDA exam twice a year for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of NDA and Indian Naval Academy Courses (INAC). Candidates are chosen based on their performance in the written exam and the SSB interview. The Commission released the NDA exam dates along with the NDA notification 2023 on December 21, 2022.

NDA & NA EE Salary & Job Profile 2023
The NDA is one of the best career options for those who want to serve the Nation, and it is a very respectful, challenging position with lots of responsibilities. The NDA offers a high salary, job security, pension after retirement and many other benefits. Army, Navy, and Air Force are the three different fields in NDA.
Candidates from all three fields are trained together before going to the respective service academies. The following are some of the responsibilities of NDA cadets:
- Performing physical activities (exercises) includes a gruelling schedule of drills and PT from 4 am to 6 am.
- After breakfast, they have to go to class on time as more importance will be given to time and punctuality.
- The classes will end at 2 pm and another 45 minutes will be given for lunch.
- There are no gaps in between to take a rest.
- From 3-6 pm is reserved for developing a spirit of “camaraderie and sportsmanship”.
- From 6:30 pm to 8:30 is used for studies after that, dinner will be provided.
- Dinner makes way for another hour from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm and a half of PT and games.
- Lights go out at 10:15 pm, and the cadets should repeat the same cycle for three years of training.
Academic and physical training will be given to selected candidates for the NDA for a period of 3 years. The training is common for the cadets of three different wings during the first two and half years. Then they will be put in a particular stream. All the passed-out cadets will be awarded degrees from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi as follows:
- Army Cadets – B.Sc/ B.Sc (Computer)/ B.A
- Naval Cadets – B. Tech Degree
- Air Force Cadets – B. Tech Degree
After successfully completing their training, cadets will be transferred to their respective wings, such as the Indian Military Academy (IMA) for army cadets, the Air Force Academy (AFA) for air force cadets, and the Indian Naval Academy (INA) for navy cadets, where they will be trained for another two years. After passing this stage, the passing-out parade will be held, and after this, cadets will be posted as officers in their respective wings.

NDA & NA EE Eligibility Criteria 2023
Candidates are advised to check the eligibility requirements for NDA & NA EE before applying for the exam. Only candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be allowed to take the exam. The following are detailed eligibility criteria:
Age Limit for NDA & NA EE
In order to apply for the NDA 1 test, candidates must have been born before July 2, 2004, and after July 1, 2007. Whereas for NDA 2, both male and female candidates must have been born not earlier than January 2, 2004, and not later than January 1, 2007.
Nationality for NDA & NA EE
An unmarried male or female candidate must meet the following requirements:
- A citizen of India or
- A subject of Bhutan or
- A subject of Nepal or
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before the 1st of January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

Before starting preparation, have a thorough knowledge of the NDA Syllabus and the exam pattern.
- Make a proper timetable for your NDA Preparation and follow it properly without wasting time.
- Make a list of how many topics are required to be completed each day.
- It would help if you found your strengths and weaknesses.
- Try to find the solutions to correct your mistakes.
- Refer to the best books or suitable study materials for your preparation.
- Pay 100% attention to what you’re studying, and do not waste time learning things that are not important for the exam.

NDA & NA EE Admit Card 2023
The UPSC released the NDA admit card on March 24, 2023 on its official website. The NDA admit card contains examination details such as the student’s name, registration number, exam centre, exam date, timing, etc. Candidates will not be allowed to appear in the examination without their admit card.
The steps to download the NDA Admit Card are as follows.
- 1st Step: Go to the official website of UPSC at https://upsconline.nic.in/.
- 2nd Step: Click the ‘e-admit card’ option from the various examinations.
- 3rd Step: You will be redirected to an instruction page, read all the instructions carefully and agree to the terms and conditions before you download your NDA Admit Card 2023.
- 4th Step: Now candidates can click on the ‘Yes’ option.
- 5th Step: Another page will open with options for Registration Number and in the text box, fill in your date of birth. Provide your roll number or registration number apart from entering the date of birth.
- 6th Step: After that, a CAPTCHA image will appear on the screen, enter the image that you see. Click on ‘Submit’.
- 7th Step: Now you can see the NDA Admit Card 2023 on your displayed screen. Download the soft copy of your NDA Admit card that appeared on the screen and take a print or hard copy of it for future reference.
NDA & NA EE Answer Key 2023
The NDA 2023 answer key will be released after the successful completion of the NDA exam. The NDA & NA EE answer keys will be released for sets A, B, C and D. Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to download the NDA & NA EE answer key 2023:
- 1st Step: Visit the official website of UPSC.
- 2nd Step: Click on ‘Examination>>Answer Keys’ on the homepage.
- 3rd Step: Now, click on the link against “National Defence Academy Written Examination Answer Key 2023”

The exam conducting authority released the NDA 1 result on May 1, 2023. On the other hand, the NDA 2 result 2023 will be released in September 2023. The result will be made available in PDF form, and it will contain the roll numbers of qualified candidates.
