BITS Pilani Hyderabad: Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, was founded in 1964. G.D Birla was the Chairman of the BITS Pilani campus at that time. BITS Pilani established a premier technical and science institute in Hyderabad in 2008. This institution is popularly known as the BITS Hyderabad. BITS Pilani Hyderabad is a residential campus. BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus Rankings

BITSAT is a tough exam that requires a candidate to strategise well before approaching the exams. The aspirants who prepare so well to get admission into the college campus do rightfully want to know the ranking of the college, for their future, their careers depend on the college they graduate from. In 2020, India Today ranked the BITS Hyderabad college among India’s top 10 engineering institutes. BITS Hyderabad campus has received an A grade from NAAC. In 2020, NIRF ranked the college in the 27th and 15th positions per university rankings. Streamwise, the college has been ranked in the:

How to Apply for BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus?

As per the official BITSAT notification, the exam took place in two sessions. Registration for BITSAT session 1 started on March 14, 2022. Candidates could apply for the first session until June 12, 2022. The authorities invited applications for the second session from July 4, 2022, and the candidates could apply for BITSAT session II until July 20, 2022.

Candidates who have successfully cleared their BITSAT exams will be able to apply for admission into the BITS colleges. Eligible candidates can apply for admission into BITS Hyderabad by following the below steps:

  • Go to the admission section and “apply online” at the official website of BITS Pilani: www.bits-pilani.ac.in.
  • Provide all the required information in the correct manner to complete registration. 
  • On completion of the registration process, the candidates will be allotted a unique reference number. With this number, they can directly proceed towards paying their application fees.
  • After paying the fee, the candidates will be allotted a unique application number with which they can upload their documents.

NOTE: Candidates have the option to pay their application fee both online and offline. The fee can be paid online mode using Debit Card or Credit Card. Offline payments can be made either through bank transfers or cash.

Applicants planning to apply for BITSAT 2023 should fill out BITSAT 2023 application form before the deadline.

Documents Required to Apply for Admission Into BITS Hyderabad Campus

Candidates will have to upload the following documents in JPEG or PDF formats to submit their applications successfully:

  • Class 10 marks card.
  • Marksheet of Class 10+2 or an equivalent exam
  • BITSAT 2022 scorecard. If the BITSAT scorecard is not available at the time of applying for admissions, candidates can email or upload it when the results are available to them.
  • Candidates who have passed their qualifying exams from non-English medium schools should provide their TOEFL or IELTS report card.

Important Points About Admission to BITS Pilani- Hyderabad Campus, Hyderabad

Candidates will be selected for admission in the Integrated First Degree programme (BE/ B.Pharm/ MSc) as per their performance in the BITSAT examinations. 

  • Admissions in the M.E, M.Pharm and M.Phil programmes will happen as per the candidates’ scores in BITS HD/ GATE or GPAT.
  • To qualify for admission in the PhD programmes, candidates should have cleared their written test and Personal Interview conducted by the institute. 
  • Candidates who want to apply for the BITS – Dubai campus will be required to submit the first 3 pages and last page of their passports.

  • The highest package that was offered in BITS in 2021 was INR 43.13 Lakhs per annum. The average pay package was INR 14.92 Lakhs per annum, and the Median pay package was INR 12 Lakhs per annum. In 2022, 293 recruiters came to the college for recruitment purposes. 228 students got jobs in campus placements and were offered a pay package starting from INR 20 Lakhs per annum.
  • Some of the popular recruiters were Microsoft, Google and Deloitte. Other top companies that have appointed candidates from BITS include names such as TCS, Mahindra Finance, RBS, Cognizant,  UBS, Bajaj Allianz, IDBI Bank, Oracle, Aditya Birla Group, Bank of America, D. E. Shaw, JP Morgan Chase and Co., IBM, Uber, and Axis Bank.

The institution provides scholarships to students with merits who face financial challenges.
