CSIR NET Notification 2022: Eligibility Criteria
Before filling out the CSIR NET Application form, candidates must go through the CSIR NET eligibility criteria to ensure that the application process is completed successfully. If the candidates fail to meet the eligibility criteria, the authority will reject their candidature. So, candidates should carefully read the eligibility criteria given below:
Nationality: The candidate applying for the CSIR NET must be an Indian citizen.
Age Limit: The age should be calculated as of July 01, 2020. The upper age limit is tabulated below.

The essential education qualification is as follows:
M.Sc. or equivalent degree/ Integrated BS-MS/BS-4 years/BE/B. Tech/B. Pharma/MBBS with at least 55% marks for General (UR)/General-EWS and OBC candidates and 50% for SC/ST, Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates.
Candidates enrolled for M.Sc or having completed 10+2+3 years of the above qualifying examination (Integrated BS-MS/BS-4 years/BE/B. Tech/B. Pharma/MBBS) as on the closing date of online submission of Application Form can also apply. — In such case, candidates will have to apply under the Result Awaited (RA) category on the condition that he/ she will complete the qualifying degree with the requisite percentage of marks within the validity period of two years to avail of the fellowship. — Also, such candidates need to submit the attestation form duly certified by the Head of the Department/ Institute from where the candidate is appearing or has appeared
B.Sc (Hons) or equivalent degree holders or students enrolled in Integrated MS-PhD program with at least 55% marks for General (UR)/General-EWS and OBC candidates; 50% marks for SC/ST, Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates are also eligible to apply. However, candidates having Bachelor’s degree will be eligible for CSIR fellowship only after getting registered/enrolled for PhD/Integrated PhD program within the validity period of two years. Also, such candidates will only be eligible for JRF and not for Lectureship.
Online Application Process of CSIR NET 2022
In order to avoid any kind of inconvenience or last minutes rush, candidates are advised to submit the application form before the last date. If not, NTA will not be responsible for errors during the last day of filling the application form. Candidates can check the stepwise process to apply for CSIR NET 2022 are given below:
2nd Step: Now click on the button – ‘Joint CSIR- UGC NET June: Fill Registration Form’ present on the home page.
3rd Step: On the new page, click on the ‘New Registration’ button. An instruction page will appear. Read it, scroll down and check the box provided below.
4th Step: Click on the button ‘Click here to Proceed’. Then enter your name, date of birth, mobile number, email id and other basic details. Click on ‘Submit’.
5th Step: Application Number and Password will be generated. Log in and continue filling the application form by filling in all the required details.
6th Step: Upload scanned copies of the Photograph, Signature & other documents in the prescribed format.
7th Step: Recheck all the details and proceed to pay the ‘Application Fee’. Save a copy of the fee receipt after the successful payment.
8th Step: Take a printout of the filled application form for future reference.

The CSIR NET Syllabus varies for each paper. However, the Part- A syllabus of each paper is common to all five papers. Whereas the syllabus under the Part B & C section is different for Chemical, Earth, Life, Mathematics & Physical Sciences. Check the table below for more details.
There will be 20 Questions asked pertaining to General Aptitude. The candidates are required to answer any 15 questions carrying two marks each The total marks allocated to this section shall be 30 out of 200
Multiple Choice Questions will be asked as per the core syllabus of each paper. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 70 out of 200. The maximum number of questions to be attempted shall be in the range of 20-35.
Advanced level questions will be asked about a candidate’s knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 100 out of 200.
The questions paper is objective type, with each paper carrying a maximum of 200 marks.
The time duration of the exam is 3 hours.
The question paper is divided into three parts: Part A, Part B and Part C.
The medium of the exam will be English and Hindi.
There is negative markings for each subject. Marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

NTA will release the CSIR NET Admit Cardafew days before the exam date. All the candidates who successfully applied for the CSIR NET exam will be able to download the CSIR NET admit card online. It is compulsory to carry the CSIR NET Hall Ticket and a valid photo ID proof on the exam day. No candidate will be allowed to take the test without a valid admit card.

CSIR NET Answer Key 2022
The CSIR NET Answer Key will be released a few days after the completion of the examination. NTA will first release a provisional answer key and will invite applications to challenge the answer key. If candidates have any objections, they can challenge the answer key by paying the prescribed fee by the NTA. The answer key can be challenged as per the schedule released by NTA and candidates will have to abide by it. After scrutinizing the objection raised by the candidates, NTA will release the final CSIR NET Answer Key on the official website.
CSIR NET Result 2022
The CSIR NET Resultwill be released after the completion of the exam. Candidates can check their results and Scorecard from the official website by entering the ‘Roll Number’ and ‘Date of Birth’.
