However, candidates should note that studying from only the NCERT books is inadequate to succeed in a competitive exam like the JEE Main. Therefore, they should study the topics from reference books in addition to the NCERT books. Some of the books recommended by our subject matter experts at Embibe are as follows:

  • A Complete Self-Guide for B.Arch Entrance Examination – P.K. Mishra (Arihant).
  • Steps to Architecture (NATA) B.Arch. Entrance Exam – Nimish Madan.

Preparation Tips for JEE Main B.Arch 2022

Given below are some tips that will help JEE main aspirants to prepare for their B.Arch paper:

  • Mathematics is one such subject in which candidates will not be able to solve the numerous sums from different books if their concept of the subject is not clear. To make the foundational base for a certain topic strong, it is important that they practice the Class 11 and 12 NCERT Mathematics books first and then move on to the reference books for the same topics.
  • Candidates who appear for the JEE main B.Arch paper will have to attend the drawing section, which carries 100 marks. Therefore they cannot skip the section. Not only that, if they want to score well on the paper, they should be good at drawing or sketching. Candidates should practice regularly drawing to improve their sketching skills. Having a good knowledge of Architecture is also necessary to score good marks in the JEE main B Arch paper.
  • It is important for candidates to have a good plan and strategy in place to prepare for the exam.
  • Candidates should go through the previous year’s question papers to understand the difficulty level of the question paper and which topics are important. Reviewing question papers for at least the previous ten years will help the candidates to understand which questions have been repeated over the years. This will help them to gauge in advance which topics they can expect questions from in the exam.
  • Candidates can resort to a preparation strategy that takes the difficulty level of the exam, the syllabus, important topics, and previous years’ question papers into count.
  • Practice is the key to scoring well in competitive exams. The more a candidate practices from the previous year’s question papers, mock tests and sample test series, the better his chances of securing a good grade in the JEE Main B.Arch exams.
  • Though reference books are necessary, candidates are advised not to go beyond one or two reference books to prepare for each subject. The selection of the reference book plays an important part. Candidates should study only from reliable sources, ones which cover a maximum portion of their syllabus, and books that present the content in a language comfortable to the candidates. This should also note the books have both salts and insert some papers for practice.
