The IBPS follows the normalisation process to evaluate the performance of candidates based on the difficulty level. Since the exam is given in multiple shifts, the difficulty level of the question papers varies. The overall and sectional difficulty of topics varies by slot. The questions may be easier in one slot and more difficult in the other. The conducting authority normalises the marks obtained by candidates in different shifts of the exam for evaluation.
