After checking JEE Main marks vs percentile, aspirants usually look for the normalisation procedure. After obtaining the percentile score, JEE Mains normalisation procedure comes into the picture. The NTA has introduced the normalisation procedure to ensure fair scores for all candidates across multiple papers. Here are some of the important points regarding the normalisation process.
JEE Main percentile score is a method to rank the candidates who have appeared and qualified in the JEE Main exam. The question that arises here is what is a JEE Main percentile score? The percentile indicates a candidate’s relative performance compared to the other candidates. It specifies the percentage of candidates who have scored equal to or below (same or lower raw scores) that particular percentile in JEE Main.
For example, if a candidate secures the 90th percentile in JEE Main 2022, it means the candidate secured better marks than 90 percent of the total candidates who took JEE Main 2022.
Here are the formulae for calculating JEE Main percentile score.
Along with JEE Main marks vs percentile, candidates would also want to know about JEE Main tiebreaker guidelines. Check the following rules applied when two or more candidates obtain the same percentile score.
While calculating the final JEE main score, the best scores of the two sessions will play a vital role in consideration. The final score and the ranks will be announced based on the same.
