NEET Seat Allotment 2025: The NEET 2025 seat allotment refers to the distribution of college seats to candidates from those who have participated in the counselling process. After the declaration of seat allotment, candidates must carry the required documents and report to the allotted medical/dental colleges for admission on the prescribed dates.
As per the examination authority, candidates qualified for the NEET will be eligible to participate in the NEET seat allotment and counselling process. The NEET seat allotment 2025 is the basis for admissions to 15% of All India Quota (AIQ) seats in the Deemed/Central Universities, ESIC, and AFMC institutes. The remaining seats will remain reserved under 85% of state quota seats offered by state counselling authorities.

NEET Seat Allotment 2025: Role of MCC
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will be responsible for conducting the NEET 2025 seat allotment process for the following quotas:
15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats of all the seats.
100% seats of Banaras Hindu University (BHU), All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), and Delhi University (DU) for MBBS/ BDS courses.
100% seats of Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) for Puducherry and Karaikal campuses.
85% State Quota (SQ) seats of DU and Indraprastha University (IP).
15% Institutional Preference (IP) quota seats of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC).
100% seats for Dentistry courses, including 5% quota reserved for Jamia Millia Islamia University students.
Revised NEET PG 2025 Seat Allotment Process

MCC has conducted admissions to 15 AIIMS campuses and two JIPMER campuses since 2020. There will be 1205 and 200 seats allocated to AIIMS and JIPMER, respectively.
Last year, the officials increased the number of colleges participating in the AIQ scheme to 235 colleges for the NEET seat allotment under AIQ seats.
In addition to the participating institutes, the admission seats were also increased. NEET seat allotment list is released for facilitating admission in medical UG seats.
Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital (VMMC and SJH), and ESIC, Delhi, will be under the central university. Thus, MCC will administer the seat allotment process for 15% AIQ and 85% state quota seats.
NEET PG 2025 Seat Allotment Procedure
After the candidates fill and lock in their college preferences, the authority will start the seat allotment process. Candidates must note that the NEET counselling 2025 seat allotment will depend upon the scores of the candidates in the NEET result, preferences, availability of seats, and reservation criteria..

If the allotted seat is accepted, aspirants need to download the NEET allotment letter 2025 by logging into their candidate portal by entering their roll number, date of birth, and security pin.
Candidates must report at the college with the documents, allotment letter, and certificates for verification and complete their admission process.
The admission process after the seat allotment process will be carried out for two or three days only. Therefore, candidates must report to the institute immediately after the officials have released the NEET 2025 allotment list.
Candidates will also have to undergo a medical examination to determine whether they are medically fit.
After admission, the allotted college will send the candidate’s details to DGHS. Based on these details, the admission letter will be issued to the specific candidate on the email ID.
If the allotted seat is not accepted after the first round of NEET 2025 seat allotment, and he/she does not want to participate in the counselling, then exit will be considered. This means that no refundable fees will be deducted. While after the second round of counselling, non-acceptance of the seat will lead to the deduction of refundable fees.
If the candidate has not been allotted a seat and wish to participate in subsequent rounds of the NEET counselling, they need to opt for the choices.
Such candidates will also need to provide their fresh choices of colleges for other rounds of NEET 2025 seat allotment. However, this option will not be available after the second round of counselling.
NEET Seat Allotment 2025: Reservation Criteria
The reservation criteria for NEET 15% AIQ seats is set as per the centralised reservation policy. However, the reservation criteria for 85% of state quota seats is as per the state regulations. Please note that the seat reservation given here is applicable only for 15% of All India Quota MBBS/BDS seats.
