BANGALORE, APRIL 30: JEE Main Result has been released on April 29 by National Testing Agency (NTA) along with the list of JEE Main 2019 Toppers, All India Rank and Category wise rank list. According to NTA officials, a total of 11,47,125 candidates appeared in the exam out of which a total of 24 candidates secured 100 percentile.
Among all the 29 states and seven Union territories of India, only candidates from 11 states were able to secure 100 percentile in JEE Main 2019 Result. The states which did not have representation in the elite ‘100 percentile club’ included Bihar, Kerala, Gujarat, West Bengal and Assam.
Rajasthan and Telangana topped the list with 4 candidates from each of the two states making it to the list of 100 percentilers in JEE Main, followed by 3 students from Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra each. Andhra Pradesh, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh each had 2 candidates in the 100-percentile club in JEE Main 2019. Delhi, Jharkhand, Karnataka and Punjab were also represented in the list with one candidate from each state.
Surprisingly, states like Bihar, Kerala, Gujarat, West Bengal, Assam have no candidates among 100 percentiler despite the high number of test takers from these states.

This is for the first time National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting JEE Main twice a year- January and April sessions, wherein the best of the two scores is being considered for admission to undergraduate engineering programs offered at IITs, NITs, IITs, GFTIs and other top technical education institutions. The January session of JEE Main was conducted from February 8 to 12 January 2019 in two shifts, and April session exam was conducted on April 7 to 12, 2019.
