JIPMER Seat Allotment 2021 – Procedure
The seat allotment of Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) will include the following procedure:

JIPMER 2021 Seat Allotment – Registration
In order to go for the seat allotment, candidates will have to fill up the registration form. They need to enter their personal details and other required details. They also need to select their preference of course and college. The exam conducting body will allot the same seats depending upon the candidate’s rank and availability of the seats.
Biometric fingerprint verification
After completing the registration for the JIPMER seat allotment, candidates will have to go for the biometric fingerprint and image verification process on the day of counseling. In case of any discrepancy, the candidate will not be allowed to attend the JIPMER counseling round.
The counseling conducting body will allot centers where the selected candidates have to report for document verification. It is compulsory for the candidates to get their documents verified before the JIPMER seat allotment 2021. Without verified documents, they will not be considered for the seat allotment stage. Only if the candidate’s biometric fingerprint, image, and certificates are found in order then they will be eligible to attend the counseling, or else their candidature will be rejected.
JIPMER Counselling 2021
After the verification of all the prescribed documents, candidates will be called for Seat allotment as per their rank. It is compulsory for all candidates to be physically present for counseling on a specific date and time.
JIPMER Seat Allotment 2021 Details
In the counseling round, candidates belonging to the general category will be allotted seats of JIPMER 2021 on the basis of rank they have secured in NEET. After allotting seats to general categories, the authorities will allot seats to the reserved categories SC/ST/OBC. JIPMER will allot seats across two of its campuses – JIPMER Puducherry and JIPMER Karaikal to all the qualified candidates.
What after the JIPMER Seat Allotment?
During the seat allotment, the candidate can either opt for JIPMER Puducherry or JIPMER Karaikal or opt-out of the counseling. Candidates opting for either JIPMER Puducherry or JIPMER Karaikal will not have an option to slide and they will have to pay the admission fees on the same day of the counseling. Candidates who have opted out will have to wait to attend the next round of counseling procedures. Also, JIPMER will conduct three rounds of counseling depending upon the number of seats available. Candidates who have not opted for anything will be eligible for the next round of seat allotment (only if seats are available).
JIPMER Seat Allotment 2021 – Admission
All those candidates who have been allotted seats will further be eligible to take admission by paying the requisite fees. They must report to the college as per the prescribed date that will be mentioned on their admission letter.
In case, the competent authorities find any discrepancies in the documents/educational qualification or quota, the admission offered or the admission already completed shall be canceled immediately.
