
The NEET 2019 Counselling Round 2, which concluded on July 18, reflected a fall in the MBBS cut off rank for both General and OBC category candidates. In NEET Counselling 2019, the General category closing rank for MBBS admission through All India 15% quota is 15671. A total of 5317 candidates participated in NEET counselling 2019 for All India quota seats. Out the total participants, 4901 candidates opted for MBBS and 416 are for BDS programmes.
According to official data, while this year the cut off rank for General and OBC category candidates stood at 15671 and 10494, respectively, at the end of counselling round 2, last year the cut off for the same was 8281 for General and 8347 for OBC category candidates.
NEET 2019 Counselling Round 2: Category Wise Cut off Analysis
The NEET Counselling 2019 data analysis reflects a decline in the MBBS cut off rank for both General and OBC category candidates as compared to the previous year. In 2019, general category candidates having the All India rank 15671 has got seat allotted under All India Quota while last year the closing rank was 8281.

Based on the NEET 2019 counselling Round 2 analysis, a total of 1416 fresh allotment were made in MBBS and BDS seats while 698 were upgraded. Candidates who have been allotted seats in Round 2 of Counseling will have to report to their allotted institutes by July 25, 2019 to complete all the admission formalities.

About NEET 2019 Counselling
NEET counselling round started on June 19 and allotment of MBBS and BDS seats has been done only for those candidates who had filled and locked choices within the stipulated dates. As per MCC officials, there will be no third round 3 counselling or mop round for seats under All India quota.
The NEET 2019 was held on May 5 and the result was declared on June 5 by NTA. A total 1410755 appeared in the pen & paper-based exam held at 2546 exam centres across India. According to examination authority, 797042 candidates qualified the exam out which 445761 girls and 351278 boys.
