AFMC NEET MBBS Counselling 2020: Detailed Process
The AFMC facilitates the AFMC MBBS 2020 counselling in offline mode for the shortlisted candidates. Check below the steps in details:
Identification And Verification Of Documents
Candidates shortlisted for the screening process are required to confirm their availability for the screening process at AFMC, Pune as per the prescribed date by the exam conducting body, by sending an email with the subject – ‘Willingness to Attend AFMC MBBS Screening 2020.’ Also, candidates need to provide their NEET- UG Roll Number and NEET score to the email ID – email@example.com.
Candidates are required to carry the following documents to the AFMC MBBS counselling for verification:
- Marksheet and pass certificate of class 10th and 12th
- Aadhaar card
- A certificate from the school principal whether the candidate has appeared and passed/appeared and awaiting the result of class 12th as a regular candidate
- Category certificate (with stamp and seal of authority)
- Service certificate from personnel children signed by CO Unit/Higher formation whereas for a retired person: Ex-servicemen, Identity Card/Discharge Book and PPO
- Sports and NCC certificate (If any)
- Extracurricular activities certificates (if any)
- Character Certificate signed by School/College Principal
- 16 passport and stamp size coloured photograph
- Printout of the registration page
- Admit card and NEET scorecard
Candidates who are not able to provide the above-mentioned documents are not considered for the further process.
Test Of English Language Comprehension, Logical And Reasoning (ToELR)
This is a computer-based test comprising a total of 40 multiple-choice questions. Candidates have to complete the paper within thirty minutes. Each question carries 2 marks and there is a negative marking of 0.5 marks for every incorrect answer.
As per AFMC MBBS counselling, the marks secured in ToELR is added to NEET score (out of 720) to get a score out of 800. The sum will be divided by four to get the Written Exam score out of 200. For better understanding, candidates can check the details below.

Psychological Assessment Test (PAT)
After the screening test, the next step in the AFMC MBBS Counselling process is the Psychological Assessment Test that helps to understand the candidate’s personality and value system. The motive behind this test is to assess the potential of a candidate in terms of qualities or personality traits.
AFMC MBBS Counselling Interview
After PAT, candidates have to go for the Interview round. In this step, the Dean and other officers along with accomplished personnel take the Interview for a total of 50 marks. AFMC NEET UG Counselling: Medical Examination
After the interview process under the AFMC MBBS 2020 counselling, all shortlisted candidates have to go for the Medical Examination at AFMC, Pune. The medical examination is done on the basis of the standard rules laid down by the Armed Forces.
As per last year’s details, candidates reporting in the morning session undergo Documents Verification, Blood/Urine Investigation, ToELR, and PAT in the afternoon and they appear for the Interview on the same day whereas the Medical Examination is conducted the next day in the morning.
What’s After AFMC MBBS Counselling?
After the counselling, the exam conducting body releases the final AFMC Merit List on the basis of marks secured in the Written Examination and Interview. All shortlisted candidates are required to report to Armed Forces Medical College, Pune along with all original documents. They also need to pay the prescribed fee (mentioned in the joining letter of the candidates) in order to secure their seats.
