The 85% state quota seats are offered for various medical and dental colleges in the state through Assam NEET admission. The rest 15% of the seats are filled by candidates selected under All India Quota seats.

Assam MBBS Counselling 2020: Eligibility Requirements
In order to appear for Assam MBBS admission process, candidates must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:
- To appear for Assam NEET MBBS counselling, candidates must have qualified NEET entrance exam.
- Those who get shortlisted for Assam MBBS admission will be required to be physically present at the allotted centre.

|(1) For the admission process of Assam MBBS/BDS, candidates need to fill up the application form/declaration form that is available on the official website in the form of PDF.|
|(2) After submission of the form, the authority will prepare a merit list of Assam MBBS/BDS. The same will be released on the official website containing the dates and other important details about Assam MBBS admission 2020.|
|(3) Candidates are required to pay Rs. 500 in cash to The Director of Medical Education, Assam at the time of Assam MBBS 2020 admission process.|

|(5) After the verification, if the candidate fulfils all the criteria, then the selection board will allot course and college as per the choice of the candidate depending upon the availability of seats at that point of time.|
|(6) Also, in case of non-availability of the seat of the candidate’s choice then they will be allotted other courses and college in order of their preference in the Assam NEET counselling form.|
|(7) After the allotment of the seat, candidates will have to pay the prescribed fees in order to confirm their seats and take admission in the allotted college.|

Assam MBBS Counselling 2020: Failing To Take Admission
Candidates who fail to take Assam MBBS Admission or want to surrender their seats after the last date of admission will have to pay Rs. 3 lakhs in case of MBBS whereas candidates in BDS courses will have to pay Rs. 2 lakh. The payment has to be made in the form of a demand draft in favour of the Director of Medical Education, Assam.
