JEE Main Important Dates 2022-23: Session 1 Application, Exam Date

JEE Main Important Dates 2023: The National Testing Agency or NTA conducted the JEE Main July session exam from July 25 to 30, 2022. Also, NTA will release the JEE Main 2023 official brochure, including JEE Main 2023 exam dates, application form dates, and other important dates. The JEE Main 2023 schedule will help aspirants understand everything better, i.e., when to be ready for the JEE Main 2023 application form submission, when to download hall tickets, when to appear for the test etc.

As soon as NTA uploads the official notification regarding the JEE Main 2023 exam dates, we will update this page so that candidates can stay aware of the events that will take place in 2023. While NTA conducted JEE Main 2022 only twice this year, there is no news on whether NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2023 twice or four times a year. The JEE Main exam is a computer-based test conducted for admission in B. E/B. Tech and B. Arch/B. Planning programmes offered by the participating engineering institutes.

JEE Main 2023 Exam Date: Exam Shift Timings

The JEE Main 2023 examination will be conducted in two shifts every day. The exam timings for the JEE Main exam 2023 have been broken down into various action items. Some of the activities that will take place before the commencement of the exam are as follows:

  • Entry into the examination hall.
  • Biometric attendance or record of manual attendance by the invigilator.
  • Verifying documents/ checking of hall ticket, matching candidate’s signature and photo.
  • The invigilator provides instructions.
  • Reading of instructions by the candidates.
  • JEE Main exam commences.

JEE Main Application Form Dates

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release JEE Main Session 1 registration window from November 2022 for session 1 and for session 2 from the last week of March 2023. Candidates can fill out the application form till December 2022 for session 1 and session 2 till April 2023.

JEE Main Application Correction Dates

NTA will activate the link to edit the application form for session 1 on December 2022 and on March 2023 for session 2. Candidates who were doubtful that they might have provided incorrect information in their application form could edit this information for one final time. 

JEE Main Admit Card Release Date

Candidates can download their JEE Main 2023 admit card for both sessions from the official website of NTA by logging into their candidate portal using their JEE Main application number and date of birth. The admit card consists of details about the JEE Main exam city, test centre, JEE 2022 exam date, and shift details.

JEE Main Answer Key Release Date

The authorities released the JEE Main final answer key for the June exam session on July 6, 2022. July Session provisional answer key was released on August 3, 2022, and candidates could challenge for the same till August 5, 2022 (till 5.00 PM). The processing fee of Rs. 200 per question is required to challenge the answer key until August 5, 2022 (till 5.00 PM). The exam authorities declared the final answer key, along with the results, on August 8, 2022.

JEE Main Result Release Date

The JEE Main session 1 result 2022 was announced online on July 11, 2022. Aspirants can check their results using valid login credentials (application number, password, and security pin). The marks obtained by the candidates will be accessible through the result. The JEE Main July Session result was released on August 8, 2022. The authorities will also release the qualifying cut-off and the result used as the screening for the counselling process.

JEE Main 2022 Counselling Schedule

Currently, the dates have been announced for JEE Main counselling. It is released by JoSAA, which takes care of JEE Main and JEE Advanced counselling processes. Once all JEE Main and the JEE Advanced exam sessions get completed, the schedule is released.

JEE Main 2022 Counselling Schedule

The JEE Main counselling schedule will commence soon. At first, registration for the counselling round began on September 12, 2022, and the choice filling process will take place. After that, the first mock allotment round will be conducted, followed by the second one. Later, NTA shall conduct the first round of seat allotment for JEE Mains 2022 counselling.

JEE Main is conducted for BE/B. Tech, B. Arch, and B. Planning courses. The subject combinations for all the papers, type of questions in each paper, and exam mode is given in the following table:
