NEET MBBS Counselling Tamil Nadu: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu will conduct the Tamil Nadu MBBS Counselling for medical and dental seats under 85% state quota through NEET 2019. The application process to register for NEET MBBS Counselling Tamil Nadu has ended on June 20, 2019. Based on the NEET 2019 scores submitted during the application process, DME will release the Tamil Nadu MBBS Rank list. Only candidates with names in the state merit list will be called for the seat allotment procedure. DME will conduct two rounds of counselling and a mop-up round for admission to 3,947 MBBS and 985 BDS seats offered by government and private colleges of Tamil Nadu. NEET MBBS Counselling Tamil Nadu 2019: Eligibility Criteria
- a) Aspirants must have qualified NEET 2019 exam by securing the minimum cutoff.
- b) Candidate must be an Indian Citizen or an Overseas Citizens of India with a certificate proving their nationality.
- c) Candidate must be a native of Tamil Nadu with a valid nativity certificate for verification at later stages.
- d) Candidate’s age must be between 17-25 as on May 5, 2019.
- e) Candidates must have cleared all the subjects in Class 12 with a minimum percentage of 50 for general category candidates and 40-45% for reserved and PH candidates.
NEET MBBS Counselling Tamil Nadu 2019: Application Procedure
Tamil Nadu NEET MBBS application procedure is the first step in the counselling procedure. During this process, candidates must register on the official websites of DME, Tamil Nadu at tnhealth.org or tnmedicalselection.org. The registration process will involve candidates to provide their personal information, NEET 2019 exam score, domicile status, category, academic details along with the affixation of photograph and signature. It is also important that the candidates provide valid communication details for further communication by DME. Once the details are filled and submitted, candidates must take a printout of the NEET MBBS Tamil Nadu Application Form and send it to the authority through a post.
Along with the completed application form, candidates must also send the photocopies of certain documents to the following address:

Candidates must send the photocopies of the documents such as:
- a) NEET- UG 2019 Admit card and Score card.
- (b) Class X Mark Sheet (both sides).
- (c) Class XI Mark Sheet (both sides).
- (d) H.S.C. Mark sheet (both sides) or any other equivalent examination.
- (e) Transfer certificate obtained after the completion of H.S.C. or equivalent courses.
- (f) Certificate for proof of study from VI std. to XII std.
- (g) Nativity certificate obtained from Tamil Nadu for the candidates who are seeking admission under minority category.
- (h) Permanent Community Certificate Card.
** Note: Candidates should not send the original documents to the address mentioned above as DME will not be responsible for the loss of certificates.
In addition to the above-mentioned documents, candidates must also make a payment either through online mode or by sending a demand draft to the above address through post along with the application form. If the candidate chooses to make the payment through online then he or she must use Debit/Credit/ Net banking payment options.

NEET MBBS Counselling Tamil Nadu 2019: Reporting & Seat Allotment
Based on the NEET Scores filled in the application form, DME will prepare the merit list and release it by 2nd July 2019. Candidates with names on the merit list will be called for the Counselling procedures. The call letters for NEET MBBS Counselling Tamil Nadu 2019 can be downloaded by logging in on the official website using the login id and password generated at the time of registration.
DME will conduct the NEET MBBS Tamil Nadu Counselling in offline mode. As per the instructions on the call letter, candidates must report at the nodal center of Counselling for verification of original documents. Based on the vacant seats from the first round of counselling procedure, candidates will be called for the second round. If time permits, DME will also call the candidates as per their rank for mop-up round. But if the candidate is absent for the 1st phase of Counselling, then he/she will not be permitted to attend the subsequent phase of Counselling. On successful completion of each round of counselling procedure, DME will release the seat allotment result on its official website. Based on the seat allotment result, candidates will be provided admissions in the colleges.
