JEE Main May 2021: NTA has postponed JEE Mains 2021 May session. The revised exam dates for the JEE Mains May Session will be intimated later on and will be released at least 15 days before the exam. The JEE Mains 2021 registration for the May Session will also be released at a later stage. Earlier, JEE Main May 2021, i.e. Session 4, was scheduled from May 24 to 28, 2021. JEE Main 2021 is being conducted in four sessions; February, March, April and May.
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) consists of two segments, i.e. JEE Main and JEE Advanced. JEE Main is conducted to provide admissions to undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E./B.Tech) at NITs, IIITs and Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), Universities, Institutions funded by participating State Governments and an eligibility exam for JEE Advanced, in order to secure admissions in 22 IITs in the country.

JEE Main May 2021 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who wish to appear in any session of JEE Main 2021 must fulfil the following eligibility criteria as declared by the NTA. This must be noted that the eligibility is the same irrespective of candidates appearing in any session out of 4 of JEE Main 2021. In case of failing to meet an eligibility criterion, the candidature will be dismissed.

|There is no age limit prescribed by the NTA. Candidates who have passed the Class 12 examination in 2019/2020 or appearing 2021 irrespective of their age, can appear in JEE Main 2021 May session.|

Eligibility for IITs
|IITs do not permit two attempts of JEE Advanced, which means, candidates must have appeared in the Class XII examination, for the first time in either 2020 or 2021, subject to the condition of not having been admitted in an IIT earlier.|

JEE Main May 2021 Application Form
The application form for the May session exam has been postponed due to the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier, JEE Main 2021 application form for the May session was released on May 3. The application form of JEE Main 2021 will be released in the online mode only. It is recommended to carefully read the instructions before filling up the application as not complying with the terms and conditions, will result in rejecting the application.
Important features of JEE Main May 2021
- A candidate has an option to apply for one session or more than one session
- Candidates who wish to appear in JEE Main May 2021 can submit their application in JEE Main February 2021 session too
- However, the application form windows for JEE Main May 2021 will be reopened briefly after the result declaration of JEE Main April 2021 session
- JEE Main May 2021 will be the last session for the upcoming academic year and the examination fee can also be carried forward to the next session
- Multiple Application Forms submitted for the same session will be rejected
- The fees can be paid through online gateways only or NET Banking, UPI and PayTM
- The confirmation page of JEE Main May 2021 will be generated after the successful payment of the application fee
Steps to fill JEE Main May 2021 Application Form
Step 1: In order to fill JEE Main Application Form 2021, use your own email address and mobile number
Step 2: Fill in the details and note down the system generated Application number
Step 3: Upload scanned images, the recent photograph of 10 Kb to 200 Kb should be either in colour or black, with 80% face visible, against the white background, candidate’s signature, 4Kb to 30 Kb, duly verified result awaited attestation form – 50 Kb to 500 Kb, category certificate for SC/ST/OBC/EWS and PwD certificate in JPG or JPEG format
Step 4: Pay using SBI/Canara Bank/HDFC Bank/ICICI Bank /Paytm through Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card and UPI and keep a proof of fee paid

JEE Main May 2021 Admit Card
The admit card of JEE Main 2021 May session will be available online at the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The admit card of JEE Main May 2021 will consist of the candidate’s name, date of birth, exam date, exam shift, roll number, and other important information. This must be noted that candidates should read all the instructions mentioned on the admit card. Also, if you find any discrepancy in JEE Main May 2021 admit card, it should be reported immediately to the NTA for correction.
Also, JEE Main May Admit Card 2021 is an important document and a ticket in order to appear in the examination, failing to bring JEE Main May Admit Card 2021 during the examination day, the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the examination.
JEE Main May 2021 Exam Pattern
The NTA has revamped the examination pattern of JEE Main 2021. Questions in Paper 1 and Mathematics (Part 1) of Paper 2 will have Section A and Section B. The section A question will be MCQs with negative marking and no choices will be given in this section. While in Section B, there will be 10 questions out of which any 5 needs to be answered. There will be no negative marks for incorrect answers in section B.

JEE Main May 2021 Syllabus
The syllabus of JEE Main May 2021 has not changed, however, NTA has made a few changes in the exam pattern. A few choices have been provided in one section to cater to the decision of different boards. However, the total number of questions to be attempted will remain the same, i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, 25 each.
The syllabus for JEE Main Paper 1 comprises Physics, Chemistry and Maths covered in Class XI and XII of various boards.
The syllabus for JEE Main Paper 2 comprises Mathematics, Aptitude and Drawing, which will be of equivalent level as of Class XI and XII.

JEE Main 2021 Test Practice Centers

JEE Main May 2021 Exam Day Guidelines
NTA has released the exam day guidelines so that the national level examination will be conducted in a safe manner, Looking at the current scenario of JEE Main conduct amid the rising coronavirus cases, candidates are advised to keep all the safety measures while appearing for the examination, scheduled to be conducted in different exam centres.

- Candidates must maintain social distancing starting from the point of entry to the examination hall till the exit gates
- The temperature will be checked at the entry of the exam venue via Thermogun and entry will be given as per the reporting time.

The NTA will release JEE Main May 2021 Result online on the official website. The result will be announced in the form of a scorecard consisting of overall and subject-wise percentile.
This must be noted that since the May session of JEE Main 2021 will be the last session for next academic year, the All India Rank or AIR will also be released for each session and shift, i.e for JEE Main February, March, April and May 2021. JEE Main May 2021 result will be considered as the final result of JEE Main 2021.

JEE Main May 2021 Toppers
The toppers list of JEE Main 2021 will not be released separately. However, after the final result for all the sessions will be released, NTA will release the list of toppers for all the categories. Also, a separate list will be released of the candidates securing the perfect 100 percentile.
